Grown Ups 2 Forum Tonight
A forum focused on the upcoming Adam Sandler film Grown Ups 2 will be held at Village School tonight.

A public forum regarding the possible use of public school grounds to film the upcoming Adam Sandler movie and a possible "re-do" of 's Piper Field will be held tonight at .
In an email sent to the parents of local high school students Tuesday afternoon, Superintendent of Schools Greg Maass was adamant that "NO final decisions have been made" in regard to filming on school grounds and that he plans on making a recommendation to the School Committee when his "conversation with Columbia Pictures has been finalized."
"At that juncture, the School Committee will have the opportunity to discuss and make a decision regarding the use of our facilities and grounds in open session," Maass wrote.

Maas will be among the town officials on hand for tonight's forum, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at .
At a Selectmen's meeting at last month, the film's Location Manager, Charlie Harrington, was granted permission to film " of the movie" in Marblehead over the next four months.

At that meeting, Harrington told board members that he planned on shooting "a couple of days at several schools, both while school is in session and after summer vacation starts."
Last week, the town's Recreation and Parks Commission announced that the forum would be focused on "the upcoming summer use of Piper Field and the potential for disruption of summer, fall and perhaps spring usage."
The notice mentions that the re-do of Piper Field may include a "re-sod of the field or other alternatives," which could mean that local lacrosse players would be unable to host home games if they qualify for the state tournament.
Harrington told board members that about half of the movie will be filmed in Marblehead and the remainder is expected to be shot at locations in Swampscott, Salem and Peabody.
Shooting is expected to start sometime next week and continue through Aug. 9.
