MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from the Melrose Police log for Wednesday, April 11:
7:50 p.m. - Caller asks to have cruiser monitor traffic in the morning on Elizabeth Road. He said cars are going by at 50 mph toward the High School to Countryside Lane.
7:53 a.m. - A resident said he received an email threat and thinks it's simply someone fishing for money. It said he could cancel a "hit job" by paying.

8:29 a.m. - A woman at Amherst and Cornell said the cars were parked too close to the intersection and on the grass which makes it a dirt parking area.
11 a.m. - A man said he did some heroin and then self-administered Narcan, believes he is having heart attack. He told family.

11:54 a.m. - Woman said she heard from four people that she called them when she didn't. She was "spoofed."
12:08 p.m. - A car swerved at the Electric Light crew working and nearly struck the workers. The vehicle was headed outbound on Lafayette.
12:28 p.m. - Someone came in to say there is an outside odor of natural gas, which has been there since Sunday.
4:17 p.m. - A vehicle was involved in serious hit and run with serious property damage on May St.
6:23 p.m. - Woman said she took a Sunshine Cab to the pharmacy, leaving her ID card in the cab. She claims the photo from the ID is now missing and that the driver took it.
10:50 p.m. - Caller on Franklin St. says a car is parked outside with an open gas cap and she could smell gas. Thought area should be checked for someone siphoning gas. It appeared the car ran out of gas and someone tried to fill it with a jug which didn't have a sprout.
