Indigenous Peoples Day Marblehead Forum Thursday Night

The virtual workshop will include discussions on identity, culture, contributions, stereotypes and historical inaccuracies.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — A virtual workshop with discussions on identity, culture, contributions, stereotypes and historical inaccuracies will be held Thursday night in Marblehead.

Indigenous Peoples Day Marblehead and the Marblehead Museum will host the forum with support from the Task Force Against Discrimination.

Professional educator and social justice activist Claudia Fox Tree will deliver a presentation and moderate the discussion on missing information, misinformation, stereotypes and truths about First Nations people of the Americas.

Fox will confront "invisibility" and implicit bias while focusing on how to engage children through books, videos and conversations.
