Inmate Escapes From Essex County Facility

Lawrence, MA — An inmate at an Essex County correctional facility escaped over the weekend, authorities said.

Michael Holmes, 46, of Lynn, was being held on bail for larceny at a facility in Lawrence and escaped Saturday, according to Essex County Sheriff Frank Cousins.

Holmes is 5 feet, 8 inches with a shaved head and gray goatee. He has three tattoos: a Boston Bruins logo on his upper right arm and a wolf on each arm. He has a limp in his left leg and may be wearing a brace. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and white sneakers.
