Come to meet, socialize and learn with other older adults. Every month we offer a host of activities asked for by older adults in our community. Activities are free and open to both members and nonmembers so we encourage participants to bring friends. Take a look at some of the great activities coming up this session - we hope to see you at the Y!

PWR! Parkinson Wellness Recovery Training
Fee: Y Member Free Community Guest Fee
This class will have participants engaging in researched based exercise specifically tailored for Parkinson’s that is neuroplasticity principled, holds promise to slow disease progression, restore motor function, increase longevity and quality of life. Class will be led by Gail Perry Borden, PWR! Fitness Professional and Parkinsonian. Participants should be able to walk and stand unassisted. Individuals with MS, as well as caregivers are welcome to attend.
Class length 90 minutes.

Adult Group Exercise Classes with a Gentler Pace - Great for those new to exercise, older adults or those recovering from an injury or physical limitation.These classes are free to current Y members.
Senior Magic: Dance, Stretch, Yoga…you name it, this class does it! Something different every week to get you moving and have fun doing it!
Friday 10:35-11:30am
Bodies in Motion: An overall body workout using light/moderate hand weights and occasionally using chairs and/or balls to adapt to everyone’s individual needs. All classes end with stretch and relaxation.
Monday 10:30-11:30am and Wednesday 10:35-11:30am
Zumba Gold: A low impact aerobics class. The choreography is fun and easy to learn but you’ll definitely work up a sweat!
Tuesday 10:30-11:25am
Stretching: Experience simple and effective stretches and learn creative ways to weave them into workouts and everyday life! Includes a variety of static stretching, active-isolated stretching, as well as myofascial release techniques using tennis balls.
Monday 8:30-9:25am
Yoga Basics: This class links breath with classic yoga poses, building strength, flexibility, relaxation and calmness. We will cover the fundamentals of yoga practice, emphasizing form, muscular action and working with the breath in basic poses. Great for the beginner or someone looking for a gentler and slower approach.
Tuesday 8:30-9:45am and Thursday 6:25-7:35pm
