Last North Shore Video Store Closing Today

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The owners of Chet's Video and Candy Shoppe are calling it quits after 25 years, and it's the official end of video stores on the North Shore, according to the owners. Chet and Carrie Thomas told CBS Boston that the closing of their shop means the very last video store around has given in to the streaming and Netflix generation.

On Saturday, everything must go. Get on down to Chet's for some nostalgia, and try to get a deal, too.

"Come on in for one last time to trade a favorite story or say hi to Chet and the gang," the store's Facebook page reads. "We'll have a small raffle, food, and beverages."
