Learn How to Make a Quilt
Abbot Library is holding a special program on Sunday, Sept. 27.

There’s starting to be a nip in the air, making it the perfect time to learn the fine art of quiltmaking.
On Sunday, Sept. 27, the Abbot Public Library will be offering a workshop with the opportunity to make a sample quilt block with expert quilt artist Margarita Blyumkina.
Participants will make sample blocks using small scraps of fabric. Blyumkina will also show different quilts made out of scraps.

Fabric scraps, scissors, irons and three sewing machines will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own sewing machines.
Anyone preferring to use a rotary cutter can bring their cutter, mat and ruler. Basic stitching skills are required.
There is a limit of 15 people for this workshop. Those who are interested can sign up at the library’s main desk or call (781) 631-1481.
The Abbot Public Library is located at 235 Pleasant Street in Marblehead.
