The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Marbelhead today as a series of powerful thunderstorms are expected to roll across the North Shore.
The weather alert, last updated at 4:30 a.m., pertains to much of New England, and will last through the end of the night tonight as remnants of Hurricane Isaac pass through the region.
According to the National Weather Service, a weak cold front will sweep across New England today, acting as a focus for rain with embedded heavy downpours and isolated thunderstorms.
