'Little Green Man' in a 'Bad Spot' on Lucia Road

Saturday, April 18

At 8:36 a.m., an IRS scam was reported.

At 12:16 p.m., a neighbor called to report kids building a fire in a fire pit in a nearby house.

At 3:17 p.m., a caller reported smoke in the celler. The fire department found the issue to be a smoking clothes dryer.

At 5:41 p.m., a woman reported that the “Little Green Man” sign on Lucia Road was in a bad spot. The sign was subsequently moved.

At 6:31 p.m., a woman reported that a person claiming to be an investigator came to her door looking for her husband. The woman told police that she isn’t married and never has been. She said the investigator claimed to be looking for a man wanted for deportation.

At 6:57 p.m., a caller reported a group of kids were spraying a fire extinguisher around the playground on Green Street. An officer spoke with the kids and it doesn’t appear the extinguisher was taken from any of the boats in the nearby boatyard. The officer took the kids’ names in case anything was reported later.

At 11:07 p.m., police placed two individuals in protective custody. They were released the following morning.

At 11:48 p.m., a caller reported that a grill had fallen from the back of a truck. An officer placed the grill in the median.

Monday, April 20

At 8:20 a.m., a caller reported his bike had disappeared overnight.

At 1:08 p.m., a caller reported taxes had been filed in his name.
