Local Man Charged With Rape

Sunday, May 26

  • At 8:40 a.m., a walk-in to the police station reported a stolen basketball hoop overnight on Greystone Road.
  • At 11:47 a.m., a resident came into the station and reported domestic issues taking place. The woman wanted them to be documented for an upcoming court case. A police officer followed the woman to North Shore Medical Center. Upon the officer's return, police charged Harry Noyes, 53, of  67 Evans Road with rape, violation of an abuse prevention order and unlawful wiretapping. He was to be transported to jail later in the day.

Monday, May 27

  • At 00:55 a.m., police received a report of a loud party on Colgate Road.
  • At 1:05 a.m., two males were reportedly arguing at Village Street and Nonantum Road. Both parties were brought home for the night.
  • At 1:43 p.m., a caller reported that two young males were tagging the wall below the bridge on Village Street. The spray paint was wet to the touch. Police photographed the tagging and were to file a report.
