A local man pleaded innocent to a drug charge in Lynn District Court Tuesday afternoon.

A local man who was allegedly found sleeping in his vehicle while clutching a marijuana pipe early Sunday morning was arraigned in court Tuesday afternoon.
Jeffrey Luszcz, 23, of 9 Fairview Road, Marblehead, pleaded innocent Tuesday in Lynn District Court to possession of a Class B substance (Suboxone). He was also cited for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana.
At 8:30 a.m. Sunday, local officers were dispatched to the intersection of Beacon and Norman streets after a local resident there reportedly found Luszcz unresponsive in the front seat of a red Ford Explorer.

When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found Luszcz "bent over the wheel with a glass pipe in his hands" and knocked on the window to wake him up, according to court documents.
Luszcz reportedly told police he had driven down to the beach to smoke and take a walk but fell asleep in his truck before he could do so. The glass pipe he was allegedly holding was found to contain marijuana and was confiscated by police.

After Luszcz consented to a search of his vehicle, officers reportedly found a small amount of marijuana and a Suboxone capsule in a plastic baggie for which Luszcz did not have a prescription.
A judge ordered Luszcz released on his own recognizance, he is scheduled to return to court next month for a pretrial hearing.
