Lowell Woman Charged With Assault

Bail is scheduled to be set today for a Lowell woman after she allegedly hit a man in the back of the head and spit on him last night, police said.

Meredith MacKay, 26, 1365 Pawtucket Blvd., Apt. #24, Lowell, was charged with domestic assault and battery, police said.

She was ordered held without bail after Marblehead police arrested her Wednesday shortly before 9 p.m. at a Pleasant Street apartment, police said.

MacKay is scheduled to appear for arraignment in Lynn District Court today, May 23.
