At 4:42 p.m.,a man called police to report a recent odd car sale. He said he sold his car to a man who “put pressure” on him to meet on a Sunday morning for the deal. The purchaser paid cash for the car and then was ”reluctant” to follow the seller home in order for the seller to remove the car seats. While the seller went into his house, the buyer left with the car and the license plates. The seller reported that the buyer said he would drop off the plates at the RMV, but the buyer’s number has now been disconnected. Additionally, police found the buyer gave a false name and address to the seller. The license plates have been listed as stolen.
At 5:20 p.m., 53-year-old Darrell Wyde was arrested on a warrant.
