Man Reported for Mowing in His Underwear

At 8:54 a.m., a caller reported a group of four people with a cooler to be on a private beach. The Glover School was on a field trip at the beach and a parent reported the students were at a tide pool on a public part of the beach and that they are “harassed” by residents when the trip happens every year. Police confirmed they were on public beach.

At 12:08 p.m., a caller reported he had taken possession of what appeared to be diving equipment that had been left at the lighthouse for three days. He said the owner of the equipment could contact him.

At 12:11 p.m., a person was locked out of their vehicle with children inside.

At 12:53 p.m., numerous vehicles and boat trailers were towed for trespassing in the Riverhead and Devereux parking lots.

At 1:15 p.m., a caller reported finding a wallet floating in the harbor.

At 1:41 p.m., a caller reported money had been taken from her locker on several occasions while she was at softball.

At 3:49 p.m, a caller reported a man in his underwear was mowing the marsh area of Goldthwait Beach.

At 6:05 p.m., a boys bike was reported taken from Gerry School.

At 7:16 p.m., a 13-year-old girl was transported to the hospital after an accident on a trampoline.

At 7:18 p.m., a woman reported trash was thrown around and her car was vandalized.

At 9:02 p.m., a homeowner reported their residence was burglarized. An air conditioning unit was pushed through and items were missing.
