Marblehead Baseball Takes Destiny Into Their Own Hands
With back to back wins over Swampscott and Salem, Marblehead Varisty baseball earned the 14th seed in the Division 2 North State Tournament

The Marblehead Varsity baseball team was in control of its own destiny, as they faced off against the Salem Witches at Salem State College over the weekend.
Following a very close 3-2 victory over Swampscott just days prior, the Magicians needed a win over Salem to secure a berth in the post season.
Unlike the Swampscott contest, the Salem game was under control quickly, as Marblehead jumped out to a 6 run lead in the top of the first inning.

Marblehead will have a tough road ahead of them as the Reading Hornets were runners-up in last year's tournament, losing a close game to North Andover 2-0.
The Magicians will rely heavily on All Stars Ben Koopman (first base), Ryan Stanojev (right field), Evan Comeau (pitcher), Jake Kulevich (infield/outfield), and Matt Temme (infield/outfield) to bring them closer to victory.
