Marblehead Christmas Tree Bonfire Set For Next Week
Trees will be picked up for the Riverhead Beach bonfire starting Tuesday through Jan. 6.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead residents will only have a few days to take down those Christmas trees if they want to add them to the annual Riverhead Beach bonfire.
Residents can leave trees curbside between Tuesday and Jan. 6 on regular trash pickup days for inclusion in the Riverhead Beach bonfire set for the night of Jan. 6.
The bonfire will be lit at 6 p.m. with the public invited. Those in the area of the beach should expect to see some fire and smoke and be aware of extra traffic from those attending the event.

Residents are reminded to remove all ornaments, lights, garland, tinsel and other decorations from the trees before putting them out curbside. Trees should not be placed in plastic bags for curbside pickup.
