Marblehead Christmas Walk

Well known as one of the finest holiday happenings in New England, Christmas Walk is a signature event that captures the warmth of the holiday season throughout the entire town, this year from November 30-December 3. This is a time when Marblehead’s historic charm shines bright, and the festive spirit of the holidays provide a truly enchanting experience.

Now in its 47th year, this distinctive event is proudly sponsored by Marblehead’s philanthropic business community. Don’t miss this weekend long extravaganza of family activities, entertainment, shopping, dining, craft fairs, concerts and more!

Thursday evening features Holiday Shopping Preview Parties, where retailers offer special shopping opportunities, along with delicious goodies and refreshments for all.

On Friday night, the weekend’s festivities really kick off with great entertainment and a magnificent Tree Lighting at National Grand Bank. The excitement builds as the community counts down, and the tree comes to life in a blaze of colored lights.

There is nothing more festive and fun than watching Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive via Lobster Boat on Marblehead’s glittering harbor on Saturday morning. The Claus’ then step ashore, ready to visit with eagerly awaiting children of all ages. A magical community parade follows, marching all through town. The day continues with fabulous events and entertainment abound.

The joyous celebrations continue into Sunday, with even more terrific activities, entertainment, and musical groups strolling throughout town. You’ll find every imaginable holiday treat in a weekend full of activities for all ages!

Trolley Service will be available from Marblehead High School with stops throughout the business districts on Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and on Sunday from 11 AM -3 PM.
