Marblehead Christmas Walk & Holiday Stroll Returns For 50th Year
The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce will host four days of seasonal events beginning Thursday afternoon.
MARBLEHEAD, MA — A half-century holiday tradition is returning to Marblehead this week.
The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce Christmas Walk & Holiday Stroll will be back for 2021 with four days of seasonal events beginning Thursday afternoon.
This year's events include the town tree lighting, shopping events, concerts, the Gingerbread Festival, Ice Sculpture Festival, Wonderland of Wreaths, holiday parade and Santa's arrival via lobster boat.

The schedule kicks off Thursday with the Shop & Stroll from 6 to 8 p.m. Participating businesses will have special offers and treats throughout the town. A list of participating businesses can be found here.
The St. Michael's tree lighting will take place with caroling on the church lawn at 7 p.m.

Friday's events include the Wonderland of Wreaths from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Marblehead Museum. The Gingerbread Festival will take place at the Jeremiah Lee Mansions Garden from 3 to 6 p.m. Candlelight tours will be held on Washington Street. Those three events will continue on Saturday and Sunday.
The municipal tree lighting event with music will be Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. across from National Grand Bank.
Saturday's events include entertainment at the State Street Landing from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., the Christmas Fair at Our Lady Star of the Sea from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue and Santa's arrival via lobster boat approximately between 9:30 and 10 a.m.
The 15th Snowflake Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge on Pleasant Street. The Ice Sculpture Garden will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of Abbot Hall.
The Holiday Parade will run from Front Street to State Street to Washington Street to Five Corners to Atlantic Avenue to Pleasant Street to National Grand Bank starting at noon.
There will be entertainment from the Fallen Angels at 7:30 p.m. at the Marblehead Little Theater, a holiday concert at the Old North Festival on Washington Street at 8 p.m. and live music from Better than Nothing at The Beacon Restaurant on Pleasant Street at 9:30 p.m.
Sunday's events will include the Artisans Holiday Marketplace on Pleasant Street from noon to 4 p.m., a Santa Claus appearance at All Chic from noon to 2 p.m. and holiday concerts throughout the day, including one at the Old North Festival on Washington Street at 7:30 p.m.
