Marblehead Declares Snow Emergency Parking Ban For Tuesday Night

After more than 3 feet of snow has draped the town in recent weeks, the parking ban is in effect with up to 4 inches possible Tuesday.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead has declared yet another snow emergency parking ban for Tuesday, with up to 4 inches of snow expected from a fast-moving storm.

The declaration comes on the heels of two major snowstorms in recent weeks that have left streets narrowed with little place to put additional snow.

The ban was set to begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and last through 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

"All vehicles must be removed from the streets; there will be no exceptions," police said. "Vehicles not removed will be subject to ticketing and towing. Streets are already narrow due to the current conditions, and DPW cannot properly remove snow if your vehicles are impeding their operations."
