Marblehead Family Asks for a Christmas Miracle

Chloe Rombach, a 22-year-old Marblehead girl, recently suffered severe injuries in a car accident. Her family asks for help and prayers.

A Marblehead family is asking for prayers and a Christmas Miracle for their 22-year-old daughter who was hit by a car two weeks ago.

On Dec. 9, a car struck Chloe Rambach while she was walking across Bridge Street in Northhampton. The car dragged Chloe before it stopped and she was pinned underneath the vehicle for about 20 minutes. While under the car, Chloe was pressed against the hot engine. She suffered 3rd degree burns, multiple deep cuts and severe brain injuries due to a lack of oxygen.

Chloe is a 2010 graduate from Marblehead High School. She was an honor roll student and starred as Maria in the school’s 2010 production of West Side Story.

On Dec. 16, Chloe’s family started a GoFundMe campaign to alleviate some of the costs of their daughter’s treatment. The campaign asks for $15,000 for Chloe’s surgeries and to allow the Rombachs to stay with Chloe as she receives treatment at the Massachusetts General Hospital ICU Trauma Center in Boston.

In the seven days the campaign has been open, more than 170 people have donated to the Rombach family. They have currently raised more than $12,000 of their $15,000 goal.
