Marblehead Festival of Arts Announces Reception at Fort Sewall
The Annual Champagne and Culinary Arts Reception is coming up at the end of the month.

The Marblehead Festival of Arts annual Champagne & Culinary Arts Reception will be held Sunday, June 28, from 5 to 7pm, at historic Fort Sewall, overlooking the beautiful Marblehead Harbor. The Reception is the commencement of the summer season of the festival, to be held July 2nd – 5th, and this year we are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Marblehead Festival of Arts.
VP of Events, Maggie Smist, is excited about this year’s tempting food offerings. “We have many returning restaurant favorites, along with several exciting new additions to the festivities. The restaurants will showcase their menu specialties, and of course a few surprises as well.”

This year’s food establishments include Becky’s Gourmet, Comellas, Edible Arrangements, Jack Tar, Jungi Fine Cuisine, Lime Rickey’s, Manhattan Sandwich, The Barrelman, The Landing, Starlight Creatives, Starbucks, Turtle Cove, Melita Fiore Pattissiere and Salem Beer Works.
The tradition continues with the Annual Hat Contest. Guests are encouraged to have fun designing and donning their special hats. The contest is renowned for its originality, unique and beautiful designs, as well as a fabulous showing of local color, history and Fourth of July fun.

This year’s prizes, gift certificates to the Festival’s Logo Store, will be awarded for the most “Creative” and most “Elegant” hat.
“With Amazing Food, Great Music, Flowing Champagne, an annual Hat Contest, Logo Wine Glasses, and Floral Arrangements from Flores Mantilla, it promises to be a fun evening…. I can’t wait,” exclaims Co-chairperson Tina Niles.
The Champagne & Culinary Arts Reception is a fundraising event for the summer Arts Festival. Invitations can be purchased in advance for donations of $50.00 per person on our website up until Friday, June 26th (www.marbleheadfestival.org) or at these Marblehead locations : Arnould Gallery and Framery (111 Washington Street), Shubie’s Marketplace (16 Atlantic Avenue) and Spirit of ’76 Bookstore (107 Pleasant Street) through Saturday, June 27th. Invitations can also be purchased at the gate on the day of the event for donations of $55 per person.
