Marblehead Festival of Arts' Exciting Events at Christmas Walk

The 50th Annual Marblehead Christmas Walk is almost here and the Marblehead Festival of Arts is thrilled to be participating! Meet us on Friday evening, Dec. 3, at our tent at the tree lighting ceremony across from National Grand Bank, where we will offer hot apple cider. We will also be selling our new Marblehead Coloring Book, featuring line drawings by so many talented local artists. These books are one of the hottest local holiday gifts with copies flying off the shelves at Shubies, Pint Size & Up, Irresistibles, Arnold Gallery, Maison de Mer and Hip Baby Gear.

Our Artisans Holiday Marketplace takes place in the beautiful Abbot Hall auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 11am-4pm and Sunday, Dec. 5 from 12pm-4pm. Twelve local artisans will be selling their items that will make perfect holiday gifts—from jewelry, to candles, to leather goods to pottery—and so much more! While there, you can also purchase a copy of the coloring book, enter a vintage ceramic festival plate raffle, find treasures from Lizzy Loo and Friends (the late Debbie Frost’s wonderful store), and vote for the 2022 Festival Logo!

Just a few steps outside on the grounds of Abbot Hall, will be five large ice sculptures featuring the themes of Christmas, Hanukkah and the winter season. Each was generously sponsored by these local businesses: The Confianza Group, Quitsakiki Designs, Marblehead Collision, Shubie’s Marketplace and Bishop Associates.

And if you come at 2 pm on Saturday you’re in for a special treat! Luminescence, an amazing Capella group from Marblehead High School, will be there for a short performance. After that, they'll carol up and down Washington St. and Old Town.
