Marblehead Fireworks Group Launches New Facebook Page

Here are your Five Things to Know Today:

1. Weather Watch: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 3 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Areas of dense fog before 10 amm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 76. Southwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

2. Fireworks Group Launches Facebook Page: The folks who organize the Marblehead Fireworks and Harbor Illumination have a new Facebook page. This year's fireworks are set for 9 p.m.

3. Fireworks Elsewhere: Of course, there's no reason to go anywhere else than Marblehead (Esplanade, Schmeshplanade) for your fireworks. But if you must, here's our map of all the fireworks displays planned around the region.

4. Monday's Public Meetings: Civic meetings include the library trustees at 6:30 p.m. and the Harbor and Waters Board at 7:30 p.m. 

5. The Wizard of Oz: You have to leave Marblehead sometimes, right? North Shore Music Theatre's next show is The Wizard of Oz. It debuts July 16. Here are details on the Beverly venue.
