Marblehead High School Vandalized

Marblehead police are asking the public's help identifying a suspect who vandalized the high school late Wednesday night.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead police are asking the public's help identifying a suspect who vandalized Marblehead High School this week. Sometime between Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 6:30 a.m., the suspect threw a rock through a window at the main office.

A security camera captured a photo of a sport utility vehicle driving by the school. It was unclear if it was the suspect vehicle or a potential witness, police said.

"The school system is working hard to get the building ready for the rapidly approaching school year," Marblehead police said in a statement. "They don’t need setbacks like this."

The first day of school for Marblehead students is Wed., Aug. 31.
