Marblehead High Teams Headed to Tournament Play

Several Marblehead High School athletic teams head into state tournament play this week. Here’s a look at the schedule:

Boys basketball (18)
Preliminary round: Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. against Wilmington (15) at Burlington High School. The winner will face Arlington (2) at Arlington on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.

Girls basketball
The No. 9 girls lost to Tewksbury (8) in a first round game Monday, Feb. 23. The final score was 47-35.

Boys ice hockey (4)
1st round: Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. against Somerville (13) at Woburn. The winner will face either Masconomet (5) or Boston Latin (12) on Saturday, Feb. 28 (time TBD).

Girls ice hockey (19)
Preliminary round: Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. against Lincoln Sudbury (14) at Valley Sports. The winner will face Barnstable (3) on Friday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at HYCC, Hyannis.
