Marblehead Issues 3-Night Snow Emergency Parking Ban

Officials said the ban is needed for additional snow removal following a series of storms and freezing temperatures.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead residents face more nights of needing to find off-street areas to park their vehicles as the town continues snow and ice removal operations from the recent storms.

The parking ban will begin at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night, concluding at 7 a.m. each morning.

The parking ban is expected to be lifted by 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Vehicles found in violation of the parking ban may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense to ensure that roads remain clear for emergency vehicles and snow removal operations.

"Residents and visitors are urged to plan and park responsibly to help keep roadways clear and safe," Marblehead police said. "It's important for drivers to watch out for pedestrians who may be in the roadway and yield cautiously when approaching or passing them."
