Marblehead Launches Municipal Boot Camp
The seven-week program will educate residents on several departments within the town, including police, fire and general government.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Town residents looking to learn more about their government and the duties of each municipal department are encouraged to sign up for Marblehead Boot Camp.
The seven-week program meets for two hours each Thursday beginning Sept. 30 with each week focusing on a different department.
The first week will be police, fire and harbormaster, followed by planning and engineering, Council on Aging and the library, water, sewer and health, the Department of Public Works, parks and recreation and general government, including budgeting and planning.

Registration deadline is Sept. 10 with a minimum number of signups needed to run the course.
Classes will be held in person unless that is deemed not possible.
