The positions are open ahead of a budget season in which what have been described as "structural budget challenges" are expected to cause the town to request a general tax override to fulfill contractual obligations.

Marblehead Public Schools sought a $3 million supplemental budget override this spring, which the Finance Committee and town meeting members endorsed, but was soundly defeated in a townwide vote in June.
