Marblehead Man Pulled Over With Illegal Drug Pharmacy: Police

The 27-year-old was hit with class A, B, C, D distribution and two OUI charges, and had two huge bags of mushrooms, police said.

HANCOCK, MA — A Marblehead man was arrested early Saturday morning after a traffic stop revealed a heap of illegal drugs, police said.

A state trooper pulled over 27-year-old Sean O'Connor on Route 20 in Hancock. Police said O'Conner was driving 37 miles per hour in a 45 and had a headlight out, and was slow to pull his Chevy over.

The trooper smelled "freshly burnt marijuana" and suspected other illegal drugs. Police said they found heroin, cocaine, and marijuana as well as two one-gallon bags of mushrooms, 15 perforated sheets of paper with 1,000 squares of LSD, pills believed to be Ecstasy, brown wax THC, medical peanut butter with THC, and $2,972.50. They also found items drug packaging and selling.

O'Connor was charged with operating under the influence of drugs; operating under the influence of alcohol; distribution of class A drug, subsequent offense; distribution of class B drug, subsequent offense; distribution of class C drug, subsequent offense; distribution of class D drug, subsequent offense; and a headlight violation.

Bail was set at $5,000. O'Connor will be arraigned at Pittsfield District Court.
