Marblehead Nomination Papers Available For 2024 Town Election

Papers are due back by April 22 to appear on the ballot for the June 18 annual town election.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Candidates wishing to appear on the ballot for the Marblehead annual town election in June can get their nomination papers at the town clerk's office.

The clerk's office said those taking out papers must provide a written request and fill out the form available in the office or on the town website.

Fifty signatures of Marblehead registered voters are required with candidates advised to obtain more than 50 signatures to ensure they have 50 verifiable ones to qualify.

Nomination papers are due back in the clerk's office no later than April 22 at 5 p.m. Those running must also sign the "I accept the nomination" line on one of the papers.

All candidates are required to file three campaign finance reports even if they spent their own money or did not spend or raise money. These reports are due regardless of the outcome of the
election.

The due dates are as follows:

June 3, 2024 – 8 days preceding the Election
July 11, 2024 – 30 days after the Election
January 20, 2025– End of year report

The annual town election is set for June 11.
