Marblehead Police Attend Funeral of NYPD Officer
Thousands of police officers across the country traveled to New York on Saturday.

Police from across Massachusetts traveled to New York City over the weekend to attend the funeral of a slain New York City police officer.
Rafael Ramos, 40, and his partner were killed Dec. 20 in an ambush attack.

Tens of thousands of police officers from across the country traveled to New York City for Ramos’s funeral Saturday. Among them were Marblehead Sgt. Osattin and Officer Sinclair.
On the day of Ramos’s funeral, a Marblehead citizen placed a flower bouquet at the bottom of the Marblehead Police Department’s flag pole.
Ramos leaves behind a wife and two sons.
“He was the best officer I could ask for,” his 13-year-old son, Jaden, said in a statement.
A funeral for Ramos’ partner, Wenjian Liu, was held Sunday.
