ICYMI: Marblehead Police Collecting Candy for the Troops
The department will be collecting the candy from Nov. 1 through Nov. 12 in the lobby.

The Marblehead Police Department is offering another great chance to support the men and women of the United States Armed Forces – they want your kids surplus Halloween candy.
Once again, Marblehead Police are partnering with CAPTS (Calling All Patriots Troup Support). Last year, citizens donated roughly 800 pounds of excess candy which was shipped to service people to make life a bit more enjoyable when far from home.
Beginning the day after Halloween, bins will be available 24/7 in the lobby of police headquarters for donations. This will continue until Nov. 12.

On Nov. 14, CAPTS will be at the Mason’s Hall on Pleasant Street and will be making care packages which will include candy, CD’s, DVD’s, toiletries, socks and underwear. If you want to help, they plan on boxing up one hundred care packages.
If you’re worried about too much sugar on your children’s teeth or too much extra energy, please don’t throw the treats away; bring them to the police department so they can be put to good use.
