MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from Sunday's police log:

11:34 p.m. - A caller reported a van dropping a box of trash on the ground next to the dump. Police talked to the person, who will remove the garbage.

1:52 p.m. - Caller wanted to speak to someone about incident at Rip Tide the other night.

2:58 p.m. - Reports of six illegally parked vehicle at Circle and Front streets.

5:38 p.m. - A caller said a white station wagon had been "speeding around the area" at Ware Lane and Brook Road.

6:37 p.m. - Capt. Freeman found a man's watch on the lower playing field at the Village School.

Monday

12:31 a.m. - A loud party was reported in a building on Bessom Street.

1:49 a.m. - Caller said he was approached by a man who told him his car battery was dead and he was stranded.

6:29 a.m. - Caller on Pleasant Street reports a smashed window in her car. Nothing seems to be missing.
