Marblehead Police Log: Sinking Burial Plots, Bad Potholes, More

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from Thursday's Marblehead Police log:

9:57 a.m. - DPW contacted about "bad" pothole on Beacon Street. DPW said the contractor will fix it Friday.

12:16 p.m. - Someone says an elderly woman was climbing rocks by the new house being built on the hill on Harbor Ave. The caller said she went through his property to get there, but he is concerned she will hurt herself. She told police she was just collecting sea glass, but the owner of Harbor Ave. will be issuing a no trespass letter.

3:19 p.m. - There were plots depressed into the ground at the Star Of The Sea Cemetery because the grand sunk about 4-5 inches. These is normal conditions during the thaw.

6:02 p.m. - Someone said he parked his car on Mechanic Street or at the Gerry School and that his car was keyed.
