Marblehead Police Logs: Stove Sparks Major Response

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following contains excerpts from the Marblehead Police log for Monday, Jan. 8.
9:55 a.m. - Man says his rear tire was sideswiped by another vehicle on Sunday at Franklin and Front. He doesn't plan on filing with insurance but wants it logged.
10:19 a.m. - Anonymous caller says there are "so many high schoolers parked on the street" that it's difficult to get by. Police said it was tight, but everyone was legally parked.

11:02 a.m. - Smoke from a Baldwin Road home was reported. Someone stated a wood stove caught the outside of the house with sparks.
11:25 a.m. - Multiple complaints of school bus stuck near Atlantic Ave.

12:16 p.m. - Someone believes something was taken from his house on West Short Drive.
2:22 p.m. - Someone reported a vehicle was parked in a handicap space at the Post Office but the person was not handicapped. A handicap person was struggling with walking so the caller reported it. The vehicle was no longer there.
4:34 p.m. - Caller said her daughter is returning to college and saw a threatening meme about an MHS. It turned out to be a high school in Virginia, not Marblehead or any other Massachusetts school. (NOTE: Some other MA schools reported this as well, including Malden and Methuen.)
