Marblehead Police Release Photos of Suspect in Home Burglary
The burglar came into a woman's Lafayette Street home while she slept.

Police are asking whether the public can help identify the man they want to question about a home burglary in Marblehead earlier this week.
On Monday morning, a woman reported her pocketbook and a set of spare car keys had been stolen from her kitchen while she slept Sunday night. Several items from her wallet were found in her driveway and in the yard of a nearby home later Monday, but the burglar did attempt to use one of her stolen credit cards shortly after the burglary.
That attempt was unsuccessful for the thief, but now police have photos of a man who attempted to use the card.

According to police, the man attempted to use the victim’s card at a North Shore ATM around 1:30 a.m., Monday. Cameras at the ATM captured the attached photos that appear to show a man wearing a maroon hoodie and sweat pants.
“Although the ATM photos are not the best quality, they are valuable evidence,” reads a post on the police Facebook page. “If you think you know who this person is, please contact Marblehead Police at 781-631-1212.”
