MARBLEHEAD, MA — There is a "sizable" power outage in Marblehead. Police received several calls about a loud "popping sound" or possible transformer explosion.
The Marblehead Municipal Light Department was set to shut off power in a part of town to address an issue Tuesday, but police said that wasn't thought to have affected the current outages.
There is no estimated time of restoration.
