Marblehead Public Schools Hires New Village School Principal
Scott Williams joins the district after serving as an elementary school principal in Scituate.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead Public Schools has filled another one of several administrative and leadership openings in recent months with the hiring of Scott Williams as the new Village School Principal.
Williams was unanimously approved by the School Committee during Thursday's meeting and will join the district this summer pending contract negotiations.
Williams is currently the principal at the Cushing Elementary School in Scituate.

Interim Superintendent Theresa McGuinness said Williams' greatest strengths are his ability to embrace collaborative and distributive leadership and leverages the expertise of his faculty.

"He is committed to nurturing a true student-centered sense of community while honoring Village School traditions and strengths," McGuinness said.
Williams has a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Graduate School, a Master's of Education in Elementary Education from Salem State University, a Master of Arts in Communications from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine.
