Marblehead School of Ballet Reschedules Summer Intensive
Dancers! Register for the Marblehead School of Ballet's Summer Intensive for children, ages 8-12, rescheduled to August 10-14.

The Marblehead School of Ballet’s Young Dancers’ Intensive for children, ages 8 to 12, has been rescheduled to August 10 - 14. The intensive will be held at the Marblehead School of Ballet (MSB), located at 115 Pleasant Street in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
The intensive runs from Monday through Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. With a specialized curriculum offering personalized training for youngsters of all levels of experience, participants receive individual attention customized to their personal development.
Classes are offered in ballet technique, stretch and strength, improvisation, rhythm, storytelling through movement and others. The intensive’s program provides a very strong foundation emphasizing proper technique, as well as correct alignment, body mechanics and musicality.

Students will be evaluated and assigned to a Level 1 or II class based on skill. Evaluations are required for new students before the start of the program for placement in the appropriate class.
A limited number of merit-based scholarships are available. The intensive’s program is sponsored in part by The Ruth N. Shiff Memorial Fund.

Celebrating its 43rd year, the Marblehead School of Ballet, founded in 1971 by Paula K. Shiff, has earned a wide reputation for the excellence of its training and integrity of purpose.
