Marblehead Schools Announces Plans to Make Up Snow Days
Already students will have to attend a half day on Good Friday in April.

Marblehead Public Schools proactively built five snow days into the 2014-15 calendar, but Mother Nature decided that simply wasn’t enough.
Already this school year Marblehead has canceled classes six times in response to the brutal winter. To make up for that sixth day, the Marblehead School Committee has approved holding a half-day of school on Good Friday, April 3.
According to an announcement from the schools, “If a family has made holiday plans for April 3 prior to February 11 [when the new calendar was approved], the absence will be excused. If a family observes a religious holiday on April 3, the absence will be excused.”

If no further snow days are needed, the final day of classes for students will be Thursday, June 25 and the final day for staff will be Friday, June 26.
