COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

The Pass It Forward collection drive is being held for the 3rd consecutive year, led and organized by Jack Garrett, past MYSA player, MHS student and soccer team member. This season Jack will be assisted by Tom Garrett and Jackson Hart. The drive has been a tremendous success in previous seasons and we hope everyone can lend support to this great cause in the coming weeks.

MARBLEHEAD SOCCER: PASS IT FORWARD

What: 3rd Annual Collection Drive of New and Gently Used, Clean Soccer Clothing and Equipment

Soccer Equipment: New and gently used soccer balls; soccer shin pads; soccer ball bags; pinnies, indoor soccer shoes; and soccer cleats. Please clean the dirt off the cleats and tie them together in matched pairs and fasten the shin pads together in matched pairs.

Soccer Clothing: Clean, rip-free, non-MYSA soccer jerseys; soccer shorts; soccer socks; soccer T-shirts; soccer hats; soccer jackets; soccer sweatshirts; and soccer training sweatsuits.

When:

8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Where: Please drop off all items on the left side of the Village School access road, along the Front Lower Village Field, near the playground. Please look for the large “Pass It Forward” soccer ball sign and place the items in the bins provided.*

*Additional bins will be placed near the 2015 fall travel team tryout registration tables on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7.

Who: All donated items will be delivered to Beyond Soccer Lawrence. Just a few years ago, in 2008, Lawrence Youth Soccer began. Since then, many Lawrence youth soccer players have received items necessary for them to play soccer through donations from other Essex County youth soccer communities such as Andover, Danvers, Georgetown, North Andover, and Swampscott. This year, it is hoped that the Marblehead soccer community will also contribute to the young Lawrence players’ enjoyment of the beautiful game.
