Marblehead Students Honored At Alabama, Lehigh, UNH, URI, Vermont

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation.

The University of Rhode Island said Jack Duggan and Tessa Smith were named to the fall 2021 Dean's List.

To be included on the URI Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Elizabeth Tauro excelled during the fall 2021 semester at Hofstra University, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean's List.

Carter Segal was named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the 2021 fall semester with a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above. Segal, a first-year student, is a graduate of Pingree School.

Kate Hill was named to St. Lawrence University's Dean's List for achieving academic excellence during the Fall 2021 semester. Hill is a member of the Class of 2025. Hill attended Pingree School.

David Grenader, Jenna McCarriston and Emma Keyes were named to the fall 2021 Dean's List at Curry College.

Elsa Richardson-Bach was among the more than 6,900 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the Dean's List for the 2021 fall semester.

Richardson-Bach is a second-year student in Iowa's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is majoring in English and creative writing.

Grace Orloff was named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Fall 2021 semester.

To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

A total of 11,979 students enrolled during the fall 2021 term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's):

Molly Forbes was named to the Dean's List list.

Carter Murray was named to the President's List.

William Cleary was named to the Fall 2021 Dean's List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Marblehead students Emmet Janney, Margaret Mancusi and Sophie Mottola at Lehigh University attained Dean's List in Spring 2021. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

A total of 1,375 students were named to the College of the Holy Cross' Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year. The following local students made the list:

Isabella Corsini, a member of the Class of 2023, majoring in sociology, political science

Caroline Driscoll, a member of the Class of 2022, majoring in psychology

George Rowe, a member of the Class of 2022, majoring in economics

Davis Walker, a member of the Class of 2024, majoring in Economics

Caitriona Rocco graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire in December 2021, earning a BS in RMP:Therapeutic Recreation.

Nearly 1,000 students were named to the President's List at Coastal Carolina University for the Fall 2021 semester, including Max Scivetti, a history major.

Andrew Pelrine was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2021 semester at The College of Saint Rose. Pelrine is majoring in Music (BS).

Alexandra Balunas was named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the fall 2021 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the Fall semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Balunas is a Art and Design major at Plymouth State

Alex Rosen and Jasmine Variam were named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the Fall 2021 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the Fall 2021 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Isabelle Tinti-Kane was named to the 2021 fall semester Dean's List at Ohio Wesleyan University.

To earn Dean's List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

To be named to the University of Vermont's Dean's List, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school. Marblehead students earning that distinction this fall were:

Claudia Pollock (Psychological Science major, College of Arts and Sciences)

Mirabella Vulikh (Biochemistry major, College of Arts and Sciences)

Christian Wall (Parks Recreation and Tourism major, Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources)

William Liptrot, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2021, has earned the spring 2021 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Liptrot is international relations major and a graduate of Pingree School.
