Marblehead Students Honored At Bates, Clark, Emmanuel, Emerson, Tufts

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

The following students are named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester.

The requirement to make Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

Oliver Glass is majoring in Sports Communication and is a member of the class of 2023.

Abigail Murphy is majoring in Journalism and is a member of the Class of 2024.

Penelope Walker is majoring in Political Communication and is a member of the Class of 2025.

Approximately 3,275 students across all schools graduated from Tufts University on May 22 during a university-wide commencement ceremony that featured the awarding of honorary degrees to a number of academic, business and civic leaders making a positive impact on the world.

Meredith Schwartz graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University.

Tufts University also recently announced the Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester. Among students earning dean's list honors are:

Nolan Adam, class of 2025, Haley Anderson, class of 2025, Matthew Caplan, class of 2025, Gabe Gonzales, class of 2024, Natalie Kane, class of 2023, Hannah Kao, class of 2024, Jack Maniaci, class on 2024, Laina Putnam, class of 2025, Meredith Schwartz, class of 2022, Luca Scola, class of 2025, Colby Shea, class of 2023, Michelle Shub, class of 2023, Ryan Stolarz, class of 2025.

Dean's List honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

Robert Segee was named to a Champlain College Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester.

Students were awarded honors based on their academic achievement. Segee is currently enrolled in the Computer Networking & Cybersecurity major.

The following local residents were named to Clark University's spring 2022 Dean's List:

Wolf Nathan MackRosen was named to first honors.

Mica A. Sherf was named to second honors.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors at Clark.

Milly Detels was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the winter semester ending in April 2022. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.92 or higher.

Detels is a 2018 graduate of Gould Academy. She is a senior at Bates majoring in mathematics and physics.

In recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College in Boston named nearly 800 students to the Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Marblehead students honored were Miriam Likhterman, Olivia Maerz and Kathryn Percy.

Two Marblehead students were named to the Ithaca College Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester. They were Griffin Homan and E Trautman.
