Marblehead Students Honored At Bates, Clark, Hofstra, Union, URI

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation.

Marblehead students Lilly Stern and Renauldo Musto were among the Southern New Hampshire University students named to the summer 2021 President's List.

Full-time students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above are named to the President's List.

The following Marblehead residents were named to Clark University's spring Dean's List:

Veronica Rodgers was named to first honors.

Wolf Nathan MackRosen was named to first honors.

Mica Sherf was named to first honors.

Sophia R. Maselek was named to second honors.

Griffin O. Minigiello was named to second honors.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors at Clark.

Bates College graduated 469 students from 38 states and 43 countries on May 27 in a historic double ceremony allowing for social distancing among the graduates and their guests.

Zachary Klemm graduated after majoring in English and minoring in Spanish at Bates. Klemm is a 2017 graduate of St. John's Preparatory School.

David Campbell graduated after majoring in history at Bates. Campbell is a 2017 graduate of Marblehead High School.

The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during the University's 135th Commencement. Among the graduates was Robert Weston McCarthy, who received a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs.

More than 3,700 undergraduate degrees and 680 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during nine individual ceremonies held over three days May 21-23.

Union College students with at least a 3.50 grade-point average for the entire academic year were honored with the academic achievement.

Those from Marblehead honored with Dean's List are:

Henry Billings — a member of the Class of 2021 majoring in Economics and Political Science.

Shea Delehaunty — a member of the Class of 2021 majoring in English.

Lily Gregory — a member of the Class of 2023 majoring in Psychology.

Bridget Schauder — a member of the Class of 2021 majoring in Sociology.

Annika Sparrell was been named a Dean's List scholar in the faculty of Arts & Science for the 2020-21 fall/winter academic year at the University of Toronto.

Toronto Dean's List scholars have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher after completing 16.5 credits. This is the third straight year Sparrell has achieved this honor.

Blake Larson graduated from Hofstra University in May 2021, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies & Production.

On June 5, Olivia Haydar graduated as part of the Class of 2021 at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School in Waltham.
