Marblehead Students Honored At Berklee, Hofstra, St. Lawrence, Tufts

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

The College of the Holy Cross said Elsa Barclay, Maria Ryan and Kylie Donovan are all members of the Class of 2027.

Ryan Barrett, Sophia Nickolas, Oliver Riegle and Sam Thompson were named to St. Lawrence University's Dean's List for achieving academic excellence during the spring 2023 semester.

Barrett is a member of the Class of 2025 and is majoring in economics. Barrett attended The Governor's Academy.

Nickolas is a member of the Class of 2026 and is majoring in philosophy. Nickolas attended Marblehead High School.

Riegle is a member of the Class of 2026. Riegle attended Marblehead High School.

Thompson is a member of the Class of 2023 and is majoring in economics and business in the liberal arts. Thompson attended Marblehead High School.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Elizabeth Tauro graduated from Hofstra University in May 2023, earning a BFA in Theater Arts.

Tufts University recently announced the Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

The following Marblehead students earned Dean's List honors: Nolan Adam, Haley Andreasen, Matthew Caplan, Declan Golden, Gabe Gonzales, Natalie Kane, Peter Kane, Hannah Kao, Jack Maniaci, Olivia Moore, Luca Scola and Ryan Stolarz.

More than 2,800 students across all schools graduated from Tufts University on May 21 during a university-wide commencement ceremony that featured the awarding of honorary degrees to a number of academic, business, and civic leaders making a positive impact on the world.

Marblehead graduates included:

Natalie Kane — Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biopsychology (BS).

Nik Karns — Cum Laude with a degree in Biology (BS). Karns was also a three-year member of the Tufts track and field team and was honored multiple times as a NESCAC All-Academic.

Olivia Moore — degree in Spanish Major in Cult Std (BA).

Colby Shea — degree in Economics (BA).

Michelle Shub — Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biomedical Engineering (BSBME).

Kate Conlin, MHD class of 2019, earned Berklee School of Music Dean's list designation for the spring 2023 semester.

Berklee School of Music Dean's List designation is reserved for full-time students, earning excellent academic performance with a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

The following Roger Williams University students received their degrees in May as part of the Class of 2023:

William Cleary graduated with a BS in Construction Management.

Ashley Marston graduated with a BS in Management.

Aeryn Vizy has enrolled at James Madison University for the fall 2023 semester. Vizy has selected Exploratory as a major.
