Marblehead Students Honored At Bryant, Lehigh, Tampa, URI, Vermont

These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

The University of Tampa hosted a commencement ceremony on May 7 with the following Marblehead students earning their degrees:

Erin Tarmey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice BS.

Griffin Kramer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice BS.

Sean Karass graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management BS.

Hannah Verdun was named to the Muhlenberg College Dean's List for the Spring 2022 semester.

The following local students have been named to the College of Charleston Spring 2022 Dean's List:

Ava Ulian was named to the Dean's List. Ulian is majoring in Arts Management.

Meryl Hollister was named to the Dean's List. Hollister is majoring in Psychology.

To qualify for Dean's List (Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.600 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours.

Austin Rose earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Rose was among more than 4,500 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute's 262nd Commencement exercises May 6-7, 2022, at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

On May 21, at Bryant University's 159th Commencement celebration, 775 members of the class of 2022 received a Bryant degree.

William Bosworth graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Human Resource Management.

Nearly 1,000 students were named to the President's List at Coastal Carolina University for the Spring 2022 semester, including Max Scivetti, a History major. Students who made the President's List have achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the semester.

To be named to the President's List at Plymouth State University, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the Spring 2022 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Alex Rosen, Jasmine Variam and Andrew Verrette were named to the President's List.

Alexandra Balunas was named to the Plymouth State University Dean's List for the Spring 2022 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the Spring 2022 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Balunas is a Art and Design major at Plymouth State.

Elsa Richardson-Bach was among the more than 5,500 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the dean's list for the 2022 spring semester.

Richardson-Bach is a third-year student in Iowa's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is majoring in English and Creative Writing.

A total of 1,457 students were named to the College of the Holy Cross' Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2021-22 academic year. The following Marblehead students made the list:

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Molly Forbes was named to The University of Alabama Dean's List for Spring Semester 2022.

Alabama students were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's).

Sloane Matthews, Samantha Frank and Grace Orloff were named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester.

To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

University of Rhode Island students named to the Dean's List represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and countries.

To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

The Marblehead students who earned this distinction were Jack Duggan, Simone Likterov, Teagan Masters, Tessa Smith and Tricia Snell.

Sophia Rachel Maselek earned her degree from Clark University during the University's 118th Commencement exercises on May 22. Maselek graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology.

Curry College's David Grenader was named to the Spring 2022 Dean's List.

Students at Lehigh University attained Dean's List in Spring 2022. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses. Marblehead students to earn this distinction were Margaret Mancusi-Ungaro and Sofia Mottola.

This year's commencement at the University of Vermont — the 221st in its history-marked a return to a traditional celebration outdoors on the University Green after two years of re-imagined ceremonies due to pandemic restrictions.

The following Marblehead students graduated from the University of Vermont during commencement ceremonies in May:

Luke Fobert graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art.

George MacDonald graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Professional Nursing.

Eliza Orne graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry.

Barbara Sogoloff graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.

Abigail Settelmeyer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences.

Charles Morgan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
