Marblehead Students Honored At Clark, Hamilton, St. Lawrence, Tufts

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Jessica West made the Dean's List for the Fall 2022 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Ben Hutchinson, Ben Murtagh and Oliver Riegle were named to the St. Lawrence University Dean's List for the fall 2022 semester.

Hutchinson is a member of the Class of 2024 and is majoring in economics. Hutchinson attended Holderness School.

Murtagh is a member of the Class of 2023 and is majoring in economics and business in the liberal arts. Murtagh attended The Governor's Academy.

Riegle is a member of the Class of 2026. Riegle attended Marblehead High School.

Nathaniel Gurr was named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the fall 2022 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester.

The University of Hartford said Beth Worrick was named to its President's Honors List for Fall 2022.

The Hartford President's Honors List is made up of an extremely select group of students who earned a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in the semester. This is the GPA that must be sustained over a full undergraduate career to qualify for a degree summa cum laude.

Miriam Likhterman made Emmanuel College's Dean's List for the fall 2022 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Tufts University said the following Marblehead students made the Dean's List for the fall 2022 semester: Haley Andreasen, Class of 2025, Matthew Caplan, Class of 2025, Declan Golden, Class of 2026, Gabe Gonzales, Class of 2024, Natalie Kane, Class of 2023, Peter Kane, Class of 2025, Hannah Kao, Class of 2024, Olivia Moore, Class of 2023, Laina Putnam, Class of 2025, Luca Scola, Class of 2025, Michelle Shub, Class of 2023, and Ryan Stolarz, Class of 2025.

Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

The following local residents were named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the 2022 fall semester: Roland Booma, a sophomore, is a graduate of Marblehead Senior High School and Carter Segal, a sophomore, is a graduate of Pingree School.

To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have carried a course load of four or more graded credits throughout the semester and earned an average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Following are names of local students whose outstanding academic performance earned them a spot on Clark University's Fall 2022 Dean's List: Wolf Nathan MackRosen, was named to second honors, and Mica A. Sherf was named to second honors.

Students at Clark must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Ben Nagel was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Nagel is in the game design and development program.

Madison Jones and Ashley Marston were named to the Fall 2022 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Noah Mann was named to the winter 2022-2023 Head of School Scholar Honors list at Pomfret School. To achieve this level of distinction, Noah earned a grade point average of at least 4.00 and received no grade lower than an A-.
