Marblehead Students Honored At Clark, Hartford, Miami, RIT, RPI, URI

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Alexandra Balunas was named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the spring 2023 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the spring 2023 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Balunas is majoring in Art and Design at Plymouth State.

The University of Hartford said Beth Worrick was named to its President's Honors List for spring 2023.

The President's Honors List is made up of an extremely select group of students who earned a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in the semester. This is the GPA that must be sustained over a full undergraduate career to qualify for a degree summa cum laude.

Ohio University College of Arts and Sciences student Katherine Cronin was named to Ohio's spring 2023 Dean's List.

The Dean's List recognizes undergraduate students who complete a particular semester with a GPA between 3.5 and 3.999 with a minimum of 12 credit hours attempted for letter grades that are used to calculate GPA.

Emerson College awarded approximately 1,058 undergraduate degrees during the 143rd Commencement at Agganis Arena in Boston on May 14. The Marblehead students were:

Tyler Hamlin received a BA in Media Arts Production.

Oliver Glass received a BS in Sports Communication.

Abigail Murphy received a BS in Journalism.

Ben Nagel was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Nagel is in the game design and development program.

Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400.

Mica A. Sherf was named to second honors on the Clark University Dean's List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2023 semester.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Miami University of Ohio awarded degrees to students during the spring commencement of 2023 to Finn Keaney and Sarah Lipsky.

The University of Rhode Island said Lily Arnold, Eric Boyd, Jack Duggan, Dylan Kerble, Teagan Masters, Tessa Smith and Tricia Snell were named to the spring 2023 Dean's List.

To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Madison Jones and Ashley Marston were named to the spring 2023 Dean's List at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Elsa Richardson-Bach was among the more than 7,100 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the Dean's List for the 2023 spring semester.

Richardson-Bach was also among the students conferred their degrees. Richardson-Bach was a student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences whose program of study was English and Creative Writing. The degree awarded was a Bachelor of Arts.

Sophie Collins and Sofia Mottola attained Dean's List in spring 2023 at Lehigh. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Hannah Verdun was named to the Muhlenberg College Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester.

Muhlenberg College students and Muhlenberg College School of Continuing Studies students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for this academic achievement.

Robert Ivers graduated with a BS in Nuclear Engineering and Charles Leveroni graduated with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Ivers also made the Dean's Honor List for the spring 2023 semester at Rensselaer.

Finn Keaney was named to the Dean's List at the Miami University of Ohio for the 2023 spring semester.

Morgan Anderton earned a BS in Commerce & Business Administration from The University of Alabama.

Anderton was also named to The University of Alabama Dean's List for the spring semester 2023.

Wolf Nathan MackRosen graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts with high honors in Screen Studies at Clark University.

Sophia Rachel Maselek graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching at Clark.

Jackson Byrne was awarded a bachelor of science degree in Financial Management during Salve Regina University's 73rd commencement.

Isabella Corsini and Ridge Driscoll earned their degrees at the 177th College of the Holy Cross commencement on May 26 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

More than 550 members of St. Lawrence University's Class of 2023 took part in the University's Commencement ceremonies, which were held May 21, at Newell Field House in Canton, New York.

Charles Hutchinson is a member of the Class of 2023 and majored in economics and business in the liberal arts. Hutchinson attended Holderness School.

Sam Thompson is a member of the Class of 2023 and majored in economics and business in the liberal arts. Thompson attended Marblehead High School.
