Marblehead Students Honored At Colgate, Holy Cross, Ithaca, UNH, Utah

These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Holy Cross celebrated nearly 755 bachelor of arts degree recipients at its 176th Commencement held in person on May 27 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

The following Marblehead students earned degrees: Andrew Ponsetto, Caroline Driscoll, Christopher McSherry and George Rowe.

Ithaca College's May 2022 graduates included Robert Dinsmore, who graduated Cum Laude with a BS in business administration, and Brian Felsentha, who graduated with a BS in television-radio.

William Ehrenberg was named to the University of Utah's Spring 2022 Dean's List.

Ehrenberg, whose major is listed as Pre Games BS, was among more than 8,900 students named to the Spring 2022 Dean's List at the U. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term.

The following Roger Williams students received their degrees in May as part of the Class of 2022:

Arden Hyte graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in International Relations — Globalization Track.

Katherine Lothrop of Marblehead graduated with a B.A. in Individ. Major.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester at the University of Vermont:

George MacDonald, a Professional Nursing major, is in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Christian Penkrat, a Business Administration major, is in the Grossman School of Business.

Lily Sansons, a Professional Nursing major, is in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Barbara Sogoloff, an Exercise Science major, is in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

To be named to the Dean's List, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

The University of Utah had more than 8,000 graduates who make up the class of 2022 during an in-person commencement ceremony on May 5 after two years of virtual celebrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jared Neuss earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in spring 2022.

Griffin Tubridy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems in summer 2021.

The following local residents were named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College for the spring 2022 semester:

Roland Booma, a rising sophomore, is a graduate of Marblehead Senior High School.

Carter Segal, a rising sophomore, is a graduate of Pingree School.

The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire in Durham on May 20, May 21 and May 22: Ryan Dumais, Braden Haley, Kayla Crockett, Ava Bayus, Riley Farrar, Elizabeth Potvin, Kyle Pettinelli and Brooke Samora.

Southern New Hampshire University's 2022 President's List included: Lily Stern, Macayla Brock and Shannon Belanger.

Students who receive a term grade-point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade during the fall 2021 semester earn the Colgate University Dean's Award with Distinction.

Zachary Gold is a graduate of Gann Academy the New Jewish HS.

Christopher King is a graduate of Marblehead High School.

Cannan Whittier is a graduate of Marblehead High School.

Isabelle Tinti-Kane was named to the 2022 spring semester Dean's List at Ohio Wesleyan University.

To earn Dean's List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

Curry College welcomed Jenna McCarriston into the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society.

The objective of the Alexander Graham Bell (AGB) Honor Society is to promote and recognize academic excellence at Curry College. The Society is named for the famous inventor, Alexander Graham Bell, who was an early chancellor at Curry College. It was founded in 1971 to recognize and promote academic excellence through a variety of activities at Curry.

The Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society is one of Curry's most distinguished organizations. Membership in the Society is limited to those students who have achieved Dean's List every semester while enrolled at Curry College. In the spring semester of 2022, 147 traditional undergraduate students were welcomed into the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society.

Curry College also welcomed McCarriston into Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society.

The following students recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines at Salem State University: Amanda O'Brien, Alexander Goldman and Josephine Landau.
