Marblehead Students Honored At Hartford, Holy Cross, RIT, Tufts, WPI

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

More than 2,800 students across all schools graduated from Tufts University on May 19 during a university-wide commencement ceremony that featured the awarding of honorary degrees to a number of academic, business, and civic leaders making a positive impact on the world.

Those graduating from Marblehead included Gabe Gonzales with a degree in International Relations and Jack Maniaci with a degree in Political Science.

Tufts University Dean's List honorees for the spring 2024 semester were Massimo Bottari, Matthew Capland, Griffen Collins, Eloise Goedkoop, Declan Golden, Gonzales and Maniaci.

More than 1,600 students were named to the College of the Holy Cross' Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2023-24 academic year. The following Marblehead students made the list: Elsa Barclay, Christopher Barone, Charlotte Collins, Kylie Donovan, Maria Ryan and Davis Walker.

Ben Hutchinson and Hannah Porath were awarded a degree at St. Lawrence University's commencement ceremony on May 19.

Sophia Nickolas and Oliver Riegle of were named to the Dean's List at St. Lawrence.

Carter Segal was named to the Dean's List at Hamilton College. Segal is a graduate of Pingree School.

Madison Jones, Zachary Perlman and Josie Poulin were named to the spring 2024 Dean's List at Roger Williams University.

Alexandra Balunas graduated from Plymouth State University with a BA in Art and Design on May 11.

Beth Worrick was named to the President's List and Jake Petras was named to the Dean's List at the University of Hartford.

Robert Burns graduated from the University of Hartford College of Education, Nursing and Health. Jake Petras graduated from the Hartford College of Arts and Sciences.

Mica Ari Sherf earned a degree from Clark University during the University's 120th Commencement exercises on May 20. Sherf graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts.

Emerson College student Penelope Walker was one of 104 seniors and juniors inducted into Emerson's Gold Key Honor Society on April 3 in a ceremony in the Semel Theater located in Boston.

The Gold Key Honor Society is an interdisciplinary organization founded at Emerson in 1962 to "recognize and encourage outstanding academic achievement." Juniors in the top 5 percent of their class, and seniors in the top 10 percent of their class who earn at least 48 credits are eligible.
Walker is majoring in Political Communication and is a member of the Class of 2024.

Barbara "Chloe" Curtis and Luca Ferro both made the Emerson College spring Dean’s List. Both Curtis and Ferro are majoring in Business of Creative Entertainment at Emerson.

Thomas Quigley graduated from Emmanuel College with a BA in Management and a concentration in Sports Management.

Sean McSherry and Miriam Likhterman were named to the Dean's List at Emmanuel College.

Thomas Davis was named to the Dean's List at Bates College for the winter semester ending in April 2024. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.92 or higher.

Hannah Verdun graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. — Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Theatre Major and a Political Science Minor at Muhlenberg University

Ben Nagel and Jonathan King were named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Patricia Snell and Simone Likterov earned their degrees from the University of Rhode Island.

Hannah Lewis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history at Lehigh University.

Callie O'Neill graduated with a BS in Business & Economics in Finance at Lehigh.

Jessica West made the Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Maya Mahoney was named to the College of Charleston spring 2024 Dean's List. Mahoney is majoring in biology.

Chloe Campbell was named to the spring 2024 Dean's List at the University of Albany.

Hayley Windom, who attends Marblehead High School, was named to the Director's List at the University of Alabama Early College.

Paige Crowley was named to the Dean's List at Salve Regina University.

The following students were named to the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Dean's List for spring 2024:

Ian Cody, class of 2025, majoring in Aerospace Engineering; Gianni Rosato, class of 2026, majoring in Business; William Schieffer, class of 2027, majoring in Computer Science.

Phineas Bennett and Catherine Ryan were recognized on the Hofstra University Dean's List.

Lauren Donovan, a member of the class of 2026, has been named to the spring 2024 Dean's List at Stonehill College.

Jennifer Howard graduated from American International College with a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in the School Leadership program.
